After reading John M. Barry’s The Great Influenza, I agree with what the author has to say about how scientific research is like the wilderness. You may never know where you’ll end up when doing experiments and can get lost and confused in your research, just like how you can easily get lost and not know your way out of the wilderness. The wilderness is filled with unpredictable and unimaginable things and animals that people may never know, similar to how there are many scientific ideas that humans have not touched on yet. As I finished reading the passage, I wondered something. What scientific ideas or concepts have we not discovered yet? Is there an expanse of knowledge and unknown, mysterious realms that we have never known about?
